"Morning Advances, Behind the Bunkhouse"
This painting, and "Pre-Dawn" were painted about an hour apart. I was staying at the Bunkhouse on the Maynard Dixon Ranch in Mt. Carmel, and awoke to this incredible sight of the sun rising behind this hill. Pulled on my jeans under my nightie, slapped on a robe and jumped out to paint. Plein Air.
