David Haskell, president and one of the major organizers of the Arizona Plein Air Painters,
is also an accomplished
teacher, and of course a plein
air painter. Dave moved to Arizona in 1970 and became enchanted with the awesome beauty of the Grand Canyon. Although he paints in a variety
of locations throughout the
West, he has become best known for his ability to capture the light, mood, and power
Canyon. He now leads annual professional artist painting expeditions through the heart of the Canyon, painting it from the view of river that created this grandest of all gorges.
