I have been fortunate enough to join a group of artists in week-long painting sessions in Yosemite, staying at the Cabins in the Redwoods at Wawona. Yosemite is always so unbelievable. Any season. Wawona isn't bad, either, and the lodge there has great food.

Merced River - Dry Season

The Redwoods in Yosemite are a series of cabins next to the Merced River at Wawona. Different view than the floor of the valley, but wonderful nonetheless, particularly in the fall.

Floor of the Valley - Yosemite

First thing in the morning, the sunlight streaks through the warm autumn grasses on the floor of the valley. The trees are partly shaded by the valley walls.
